Black matt water based varnish with a tinted finish, used as the final protective coat when finishing a guitar kit. This black varnish for wood delivers an even, low-sheen colour layer over the timber, and is in stock in the UK with fast UK delivery.

Usage

The final top coat to apply when finishing your guitar kit. If using only one finishing product, the top coats are the most important step. This water based black lacquer both colours and protects the surface.

Preparation and Application

  • Best applied by spray for an even coat.
  • Apply thin layers to avoid drips and achieve homogeneous coverage.
  • Allow 12–24 hours drying time between coats.
  • Water based product; described as environmentally friendly and non-toxic.

Spraying option (Preval)

If you want to spray this black matt guitar varnish 1L and do not have a spray gun, a rechargeable Preval-style sprayer can be used. You can add the water based black lacquer and spray it on the corps; such sprayers can cover up to approximately 500 mL before needing to be recharged.
