T-Style Electric Guitar Plans & 3D Model

Plans for a T-style electric guitar, drawn from our own 3D model and not traced from a photo. Print the 1:1 templates and cut by hand, send the DXF files to a CNC router or a laser, or open the 3D model in your CAD software and change it to suit your build.

What's in the plans

• Body in 2 versions (2 single coils, or a humbucker at the neck), neck and single-coil pickguard
• 3 headstock shapes: T-style, S-style and our own Sword design
• 3 fretboard radii: 7.25", 9.5" and 12"
• Dimensioned drawings with every pocket depth, hole and position
• 1:1 templates that tile on A4 or US Letter, plus a single A0 sheet for a print shop
• Every file in millimetres and in inches

2D plans or full pack

• 2D plans: PDF plans and templates, DXF files for CNC (R12 and R2013, one layer per operation and depth) and true-scale SVG files for laser cutters and Inkscape.
• Full pack: the 2D plans, plus the 3D model as a STEP file (Fusion, FreeCAD, SolidWorks, Onshape and others) and one STL file per part for 3D printing.

Start from raw wood

Our guitar blanks give you the wood for the body, the neck and the fretboard. The body outline is 406.0 x 324.1 mm and the body is 40 mm thick, so it fits our ash and mahogany body blocks (430 x 345 x 45 mm). Pickups, bridges and tuners are in our guitar parts.

Download and licence

The files arrive by email as soon as your payment goes through: one zip file, with a START-HERE file that tells you which file to open. Build as many guitars as you like from them, to keep or to sell. The files themselves are for you only, so please don't share or resell them.
