White nitrocellulose primer sealer in a 1L can, formulated for the first coats on guitar kits to seal the pores and prepare the wood for finishing. In stock in the UK with fast UK delivery.
Usage
This nitrocellulose sealer 1L is used to seal the pore and is the very first coat to apply on your guitar kit for a good finishing (unless you have decided to use grain filler). As a guitar wood sealer, the white version is indicated for solid and metallic finishes and will completely hide the grain of the wood.
Compatibility
This nitro sanding sealer is compatible with nitrocellulose lacquers, nitrocellulose varnish, grain filler, and polish pastes. It is an ideal base layer for a nitrocellulose guitar finish.
Preparation and Application
- Apply thin layers of the nitrocellulose primer sealer to avoid drips and achieve a homogeneous distribution.
- Wait 8 to 12 hours between coats.
- Lightly sand before applying the next coat to ensure good adhesion.
- Nitrocellulose is toxic and requires protection whilst finishing: goggles, mask, and gloves.
Application
If you want to spray the sealer and do not have a spray gun, a rechargeable spray system like Preval can be used to apply the white nitrocellulose primer; it can spray up to 500 mL before needing to be recharged.
