Build Considerations

  • Ideal for intermediate builders.
  • Mahogany body is slightly porous (less than ash); may require minimal grain filler for a smooth finish.
  • Body shape can make painting tricky; watch for paint droplets.
  • Set-in neck without inclination: perform careful dry fits and an initial string action check before gluing (gluing is irreversible).
  • Bridge posts are pre-drilled; measuring is still recommended for accuracy and learning.
  • Softer mahogany makes pre-drilling and neck pocket screwing easier.
  • Tune-o-matic trapeze bridge provides overall intonation and string action adjustments; does not offer individual fine-tuning like a tremolo.
  • Nut can be removed for customisation.
  • Lack of neck inclination simplifies initial string action setup.
  • Prefer a colour applied for you? See our painted guitar body options instead.
