Usage

Apply this cherry lacquer after the primer/sealer coat to give your guitar its colour and an additional protective layer.

Application

  • Electric guitar neck (natural finish): 1 spray of finishing product (gloss or matte).
  • Electric guitar body: 1 spray primer, 1 spray cherry red guitar paint, and 1 finishing spray (gloss or matte).
  • Classical or acoustic kit (body and neck): 1 base spray and 2 finishing sprays (gloss or matte).
  • Ukulele kit: 1 to 2 finishing sprays (gloss or matte).

Compatibility

Compatible with our nitrocellulose guitar finish lacquers and varnish, as well as grain filler and guitar polishing products.

Preparation

  • Ensure wood is sanded; apply a primer and sand to 400 grit before colour.
  • Shake the can vigorously for 2–5 minutes before use.
  • Spray thin coats of this translucent red spray paint at approximately 20 cm distance with uniform movement.
  • Work in low humidity to avoid defects.
  • Allow 12–24 hours between coats; optionally sand lightly between coats.

Safety

This lacquer is toxic; use goggles, mask, and gloves, and apply outdoors or in a well‑ventilated area.

Cherry lacquer spray tips

Spray application of this cherry red spray paint gives a homogeneous, translucent coat without a spray gun. Keep coats thin to avoid drips, maintain a steady motion at about 20 cm from the surface, and wait 12–24 hours between coats.
