The Iceman bass kit is a DIY mahogany bass kit for building a 4-string instrument inspired by the iconic Iceman shape, pairing a solid mahogany body with a Canadian maple neck and rosewood fretboard. This Iceman style 4 string bass kit includes the parts needed for a custom build from start to finish, in stock in the UK with fast UK delivery.
An ideal beginner bass DIY kit. The mahogany body benefits from at least two coats of grain filler for a smooth finish; the angular contours require careful painting to avoid drips.
Assembly is straightforward: the bolt-on neck has no inclination, alignment is simple, and pre-drilling simplifies screw installation. Bridge posts are pre-drilled, removing the need to measure scale length or calculate bridge position.
Wiring uses a solderless system. Setup with the fixed bridge allows standard intonation and string height adjustments.
