Quick setup tip for guitar neck shims in the UK

Start with the thinnest neck shim (0.2 mm) and check action; add or swap for thicker guitar shims (0.5 mm or 1 mm) as needed. Place the shim at the headstock side of the pocket to decrease neck angle (raise action) or at the body side to increase neck angle (lower action). Use a guitar setup kit to measure your changes as you go.
