Jet Black Nitro Tin, 230mL/0.06gal nitrocellulose colour lacquer for guitar finishing from a tin.
Application
The general steps for painting a guitar with nitrocellulose lacquer from a tin are:
Usage
- Primering/Sealing to seal the wood pores. Allow to dry completely and lightly sand with 400-grit sandpaper for a smooth surface.
- Coloring with your Jet Black Nitro Tin. Apply the nitrocellulose colour lacquer using a spray gun or brush in thin, even coats. Multiple light applications are recommended over heavy coats. Allow 12–24 hours between coats and lightly sand if necessary.
- Varnishing as the final protective layer to enhance durability and provide the desired sheen.
Compatibility
All our nitrocellulose products (primer/sealer, colour lacquer, and finishing lacquer) are fully compatible with each other.
Preparation & Application
The 230mL tins are designed for use with a spray gun or high-quality brush. Stir thoroughly before use. Apply in thin, even layers in a clean, dust-free, low-humidity environment. Maintain 12–24 hours drying time between coats and lightly sand if needed. Begin with a primer coat, sanding with 400-grit sandpaper before applying the colour lacquer.
