Finishing tips

  • Sand the veneer by hand and lightly only; never power-sand the top.
  • Apply one coat of Basecoat Sealer, then thin coats of Tru-Oil rubbed in, with light sanding between coats.
  • The mahogany back and neck take a satin, hand-rubbed feel rather than a mirror gloss.
  • Leave the rosewood fretboard unfinished.
