Guitar Build Levels and Challenges
The SC Guitar Kit is one of the easiest to build, making it perfect for beginner builders. Painting the guitar is considered intermediate: the ash body requires at least two coats of grain filler for a smooth finish, though its curvy shape is not very challenging to work with, and the maple neck needs no filler. Assembling the parts is easy thanks to the bolt-on neck with no inclination, and while installing the tremolo bridge requires learning a few extra steps, the solderless wiring system keeps things straightforward. Adjusting sound and playability is also easy: the tremolo bridge allows individual string action and intonation adjustments, and the flat neck setup simplifies the process. Only advanced builders might consider adjusting the integrated nut, but for most, it’s ready to play!
