The mahogany corps is slightly porous—less so than ash—requiring minimal grain filler for a smooth finish, though its complex contours demand careful attention during painting to avoid drips.
Assembly is straightforward with a bolt-on manche that requires no inclination, soft wood that facilitates drilling and screwing, and a solderless wiring system for quick connections. Whilst the chevalet placement requires measuring the scale length, the process remains accessible for newcomers across the UK.
In terms of playability, the high-mass chevalet offers full adjustability for intonation and string height, and the easily removable sillet allows for further personalisation.
