Guitar Build Levels and Challenges
The Trem RK Special Kit is great for intermediate builders. Its mahogany body is moderately porous, needing little grain filler, though the contoured shape requires care when painting to avoid drips. The set-in neck has no angle, so a dry fit and action check are essential before gluing. Wiring is easy thanks to the solderless system, and the tremolo and bridge holes come pre-drilled—no scale length math needed, though measuring is still advised. The tremolo bridge allows for full intonation and action adjustment. The flat neck joint simplifies setup, and the soft mahogany makes drilling and fitting smooth and forgiving.
