Spray of 400mL of nitrocellulose varnish lacquer with relic effect is used as the last top coat of finish on your DiY guitar kit. This lacquer will provide a transparent Gloss finish to have your electric guitar shine. It highlights the previous coats or the grain of the wood itself, if you have choose to use dyes or for a natural DiY guitar kit finish. The relic paint allow to give a old vintage look. Its special chemistry compounds permit to control the cracking using heating.

USAGE OF NITROCELLULOSE VARNISH LACQUER DURING THE FINISHING PROCESS OF YOUR GUITAR KIT

The varnish lacquer spray for gloss results with relic effects is the last coats of prootection, top coat, you need to apply when applying finishing layers to your guitar kit in order to have your electric guitar to last over time. This is the most important finishing step, and if you want to use only 1 product for your finishing then the top coats will be the one.


NITROCELLULOSE VARNISH LACQUER COMPATIBILITY WITH OUR GUITAR FINISHING PRODUCTS.

Our selected nitrocellulose varnish lacquer is compatible with all the nitrocellulose guitar kit finishing products as well as our grain filler and polish pastes.


NITROCELLULOSE VARNISH LACQUER PREPARATION AND APPLICATION.

Spray allow to paint your guitar kit homogeneously without the need of additional material such as spray gun. Before applying nitrocellulose gloss lacquer with relic effect, shake vigorously between 2 to 5 minutes. Spray thin layers to avoid any drip and get a homogeneous distribution and in an environment with low humidity. Apply with a uniform movement and with a distance of approximately 20 cm. Wait between 12 to 24 hours between coats an ideally you might want to sand slighly between coats. Regarding the relic effect, if you need more pronounced crack, it can be achieved with changes in temperature on the surface of the guitar. Also the Varnish lacquer with Relic effect can be sanded and polished the same way it is done for our other lacquers.

Note that Nitrocellulose is toxic and need protection during the finishing step of your guitar kit build: google, mask and gloves available on our website. Make sure to apply nitrocellulose lacquer outside or in a ventilated area.
