Sealer Polyurethane, White 1L
The Guitar Kit Fabric proposes Polyurethane sealer of 1L and its hardener of 500mL in solid white colour to finish your guitar kit build. Nitorlack Primer polyurethane, developed for finishing guitar build, has a very good strength and hardness as well as a high hiding power and light protection. This polyurethane sealer is resistant to scratches and bump. It has also anti-bubbles feature which resolve pore wetting and cratering issue. Finally it's a tough and an elastic matter, perfect for the first layer of finishing to apply on your guitar kit.

The polyurethane primer is used to seal the pore and is the very first coat you want to pass on your guitar kit for a good finishing (unless you have decided to use grain filler: see grain filler section). The white primer is well indicated for solid and metallic lacquer finishing. It will hide compltely the grain of the wood.

The polyurethane primer is compatible with all our polyurethane products: polyurethane lacquers, polyurethane varnish as well as our grain filler and our polish pastes.
POLYURETHANE SEALER PREPARATION AND APPLICATION.
You will need to mix the polyurethane sealer with the provided hardener with a mixing ratio of 2:1. When the mixture is done, it has a lifetime of 2hrs to apply it before it becomes hard. Apply thin layer to avoid any drip and get a homogeneous distribution and wait between 8 to 12 hours between coats. It is advised to sand slightly before putting the next coat to ensure that new coat will attached well. Note that Polyurethane is toxic (still less compared to nitrocellulose chemical compound) and need protection during the finishing step of your guitar kit build: google, mask and gloves available on our website.
Also if you want to spray the sealer - which we strongly advice - and you don't have the material and don't want to invest in a spray gun, The Guitar Kit Fabric proposes the rechargeable spray preval product. With this item you can add the polyurethane sealer with half of hardener, mix it and then spray it on your guitar body. The preval spray will allow a good spraying of the sealer and can spray up to 500mL before needed to be recharged.
